6 STEPS TO FOLLOW EVERYDAY IN ORDER TO KEEP A HEALTHY LOOK (Inspired by an article from SELF magazine)



  1. Recharge your body and get your beauty sleep. I am sure you have always heard about the 8 hour sleep rule. Well, it is true and very important for your health and beauty. I know for many, sleeping has become a luxury. I truly feel that many of us sleep but not necessarily rest. It is important to put aside all of our worries before going to bed in order to have a restful night. Sleep is not only healthy for the mind but also for the body.

    Remember: sleep helps fight lines..!  ;-)

  1. Breaking a sweat - When you workout you are letting go of stress, which is beneficial to your body. When you work out, you are letting go of fluid in the body. For instance: when you break a sweat, at least for 20 minutes, you’re helping reduce the puffiness under the eye area. We all know, bags under our eyes are not a sexy/attractive look. Besides, it gives an unhealthy appearance.    

  1. Focus on treating your face with the right products. Stay away from using regular body soap to wash your face, which will only create dryness to the skin. I prefer to use the Neutrogena Deep clean Facial Cleanser (Normal to dry skin); this product is great for my skin, leaving it smooth and refreshed.

REMEMBER: always wash off the makeup and dust/dirt that accumulates on your skin throughout the day. 


  1. Protect your skin from the sun – This is a DEFINITE. You should always use sunscreen at all times. You should apply sunscreen in the winter and in the summer. In the winter you can purchase the SPF 15 and during the summer any SPF that is 50 or 50+ - that should do the trick.
  2. Renew skin cells - aside from protecting your skin from the sun, purchase an exfoliator which will remove dead skin cells. Try to find one which contains retinoids, the RX version of vitamin A which helps increase skin collagen and helps reduce fine lines.

  1. Last but not least, ALWAYS MOISTURIZE. It is very important to keep your skin moisturized in the mornings and at night. If you suffer from acne try using an OIL-FREE gel or a lotion that will moisturize but will not clog pores.
