Want designer clothes, shoes, bags........???

All women take pleasure in wearing expensive clothes, jewelry, bags and shoes but only a few can afford them. To be completely honest, I would prefer spending my hard earned money on a relaxing trip to Tahiti or some other distant exotic location. Wouldn’t you? I am not saying shopping is not exciting because it is and I LOVE IT! But nowadays in which the U.S. economy is clouded with uncertainty and a slowdown is more than probable, it is important to shop smart and save money. So my dear friends, could you really picture yourself spending loads of money on one designer bag and/or pair of shoes?  Nah!  But hey, if you can, props to you!

Ok so here is the great news. The web is surrounded by sites that offer heavily discounted prices on designer clothes, shoes, bags and much more!!  I am not talking about counterfeit designer products. I am talking about authentic items. The real deal!  Some of these great sites are: Bluefly.com or stores like Loehmann’s, where top designer clothes are found for up to 65% off. Also, imagine having a location where you are able to pick and choose from an entire wardrobe from more than 80 top designers, including Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler and Temperley. Well, there is such a place, known as Rent the Runway- http://renttherunway.com. Rental fees start at 10 % of an items retail price for four day rental. And you thought Wonderland didn’t exist huh?

Well, after renting that sexy yet classy designer dress, you need to style it up with some heels, pumps, hand bag/ clutch and accessories. Without these final touches, the outfit would be incomplete. There are many websites that offer rental services of bags and shoes. I came across Rent me a Handbag -http://www.rentmeahandbag.com, which I have heard is great! There you can rent, buy and even lay-a-way a great bag for a great price. Another well-known website for bags and jewelry is:http://www.bagborroworsteal.com/jewelry.This website will show you a huge variety of jewelry and bags. And last but not least, you can try joining the ShoeDazzle club from Kim Kardashian. There you will find all types of great shoes which styles are similar to designer shoes. For further information on ShoeDazzle, visit:  http://www.shoedazzle.com/blog/articles.

ENJOY!

Until next time......

ACHIEVE A NATURAL LOOK WITH A FEW BASIC MAKEUP PRODUCTS

We all have those days, where we want to look great without making it obvious that we are wearing makeup. Many occasions require the use of natural looking makeup, such as: a business meeting, job interview or an early doctor's appointment.

An important factor is making sure the makeup you apply for that natural look, matches your skin tone. Also, having a good concealer is very important since that will help you cover any skin imperfections. There are three types of concealers - yellow, lavender and green, all which hold a different function. For further information on these concealers, review the link below:

After applying concealer apply a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 - this gives more sunburn protection. I recommend the AVON ideal shade tinted moisturizer SPF 15 which is less than $10 . These come in light, medium and dark shades - choose according to your skin color. Another brand of tinted moisturizer is the Chantecaille Tinted Moisturizer at chantecaille.com. This is much more expensive than the AVON moisturizer but its function and results are very similar.

After applying the tinted moisturizer, it is NOT necessary to apply any type of foundation. However, if you decide otherwise, I suggest using powder foundation instead of liquid. The most important part of this mixture is that your face will NOT feel cakey.

PERSONAL TIP: Instead of powder foundation, I use the Matte-nificent oil absorbing powder from AVON. This powder is lightweight and translucent, leaving the skin even toned and shine free. For those interested in trying this product, check link below:

After foundation powder apply eye shadow. Try to go for light-colored shadows with frost or satin finishes. Pale shades open up eyes while shimmer reflects light, making them appear brighter (InStyle Magazine). You can try the Revlon Luxurious Color Satin Eye Shadow in Nude Slip, $4.99; at drugstores. Also, check out the L'Oreal Paris HIP Studio Secrets Professional Crystal Shadow Duo in Precious, which can be purchased at any drugstore.
For those that want to go for a bronzy shade around the eyes, check out the Aqua cream eye-shadow from Make Up For Ever (sephora.com). And for an extra touch, try applying a nude (not white) eyeliner for around the eyes.

After eyeshadow apply mascara. I use the LashBlast Volume Mascara in Black from COVERGIRL or the SuperShock mascara from AVON. These mascaras help thicken and lengthen my lashes. The COVERGIRL mascara can be found at any drugstore for less than $9.00 and the AVON mascara can be found at AVON.com. For reviews on this product, check link below:

IMPORTANT: Avoid applying fake lashes for this look. When buying mascara look for those with the thin comb like brush, this will lengthen them without leaving clumps.

After mascara apply blush. A nice rosy/peachy finish on the cheeks help bring a little color to this natural look.

After blush apply a natural lip gloss, lip color or lip shimmer. I leave this to your judgment.

***This part is optional. If you would like to give your eyebrows a nice touch, try the Benefit Brow Kit (benefitcosmetics.com). You can even try the brow pencil sold at beauty supply stores for $1.99. These are not the best in the market but can make a difference. Always buy one that is a shade lighter than your hair color.***

These are all products which will help you achieve that natural and clean look. The products mentioned above may not all work for you but try and search for something similar.

Enjoy!
